アメリカのキーボーディスト。

ロック・バンド「ビートルズ」の映画『レット・イット・ビー』となる「ゲット・バック・セッション」への参加で有名。後に「5番目のビートルズ」などとも呼ばれた。

その以前から、リトル・リチャードやレイ・チャールズ、サム・クック、キング・カーティスといった大物ミュージシャンのバックバンドのメンバーとして活躍していた。

2000年代は、エリック・クラプトン、エルトン・ジョンのほか、JETやレッド・ホット・チリ・ペッパーズなどのセッション・ワークをこなした。
