ゲイリー・ピーコック、ジャック・ディジョネットとの「キース・ジャレット・トリオ（スタンダーズ・トリオ）、チャーリー・ヘイデン、ポール・モチアン、デューイ・レッドマンとの「アメリカン・カルテット」、ヤン・ガルバレク、パレ・ダニエルソン、ヨン・クリステンセンとの「ヨーロピアン・カルテット」で活動。
