アイルランドのロック・シンガー、ベーシスト、詩人。
ロック・バンド「シン・リジィ」のメンバー。ボーカルとベースを担当。
アイルランド民謡やアフリカ、ブラジル音楽を取り入れた曲もあり（父親が兵士としてアイルランドに駐屯していたブラジル系黒人であるためか）当時としては実験的なロックであった。
彼の鼻にかかった声の理由は、度重なるコカインの吸引のためという。86年にヘロイン注射に伴う内臓の感染症、敗血症により急死。36歳。
