日本のサックス奏者。

バークリー音楽大学に留学、卒業後、同校の講師を務める。1978年、チャールス・ミンガス『Me, Myself An Eye』の録音でランディー・ブレッカー、マイケル・ブレッカーロニー・キューバー、ラリー・コリエルなどと共演。

83年にアルバム「MALTA」で日本デビュー。たばこのテレビＣＭのＢＧＭに使われるなどで話題に。大学教授として教鞭をとり、話術にも長ける。
